Maryland – 100% Clean Electricity By 2040
Maryland’s Clean and Renewable Energy Standard (CARES) sets the state on a path to being powered by 100% clean electricity, like solar, by 2040. A key element of the proposal includes increasing the strategic use of zero-and low-carbon clean and renewable energy sources.

- To generate and sell renewable energy credits.
- For the Maryland Energy Administration’s Clean Energy Rebate Program.
- Participate in Maryland’s net metering program.
